91 RS Camaro not starting

howdy all, i have a 91 RS Camaro with a TPI 350. i turn the ignition key and dash lights come on but it won't turn over, if i bypass the solenoid it turns over and tries to crank but still won't start. i am not sure if it is the PROM chip or the computer itself or if that has anything to do with it anyways. any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hi ER and welcome to TSF,

Using a test lamp or voltmeter, see if you are getting voltage to the starter solenoid. If no voltage there, check your fuses. If voltage, pull the starter and have it tested. I'm thinking your battery connections are OK since the starter will turn over when you bypass the solenoid.

Your computer is probably OK as the starter circuit does not use the computer.

Let us know what you find.
