1985 BMW 735I wont start

My BMW wont start there is no fire to the plugs so I replaced the coil that wasn't it I understand there is a ignition control unit on this car somewhere I thought I would try by replacing it and see if that is it what do you think? is there something I might be overlooking. HELP

I'm guessing your BMW is : 735i/L M30 I6 12V 3,430 cc (209 cu in)
208 bhp (155 kW; 211 PS)
@ 4900 305 N·m (225 lb·ft)
@ 4000 8.3 (man) / 9.1 (aut)

is this correct ?

The Motronic box is located behind the RF speaker. If you have power to the coil, check the crank sensor.
