Question Transmission problem 96 Olds

Hi, I've had lot of success with the help of people in the forum. So I'm back with another problem.

I have a 96 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 3.1v6. It has the 4T60-E automatic transmission. I had problems with the Vehicle Speed sensor a while back and have since replaced it. After that I've been experiencing shifting problems after first gear, usually after the car has warmed up a bit but sometimes even when cold if I push her over 2500 RPMs. She is shifting late sometimes and when the shift slips happen the speedometer bounces a bit then drops to zero. If/when it starts reading speed again, the tranny shifts. The fluid level seems fine to me. Now I've heard all kinds of things from replace/rebuild trany to a clogged filter. I've also heard about the Vacuum Modulator Assembly being a possible cause.

Any thoughts?
