1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse
I have a 97 eclipse non turbo 2.0 engine that has an ignition short from the ignition switch. I have narrowed it down to the black/ white stripe wire that comes out of the ignition switch but have no idea where to look. It blows the 30 amp fusible link in the underhood fuse box as soon as the key is switched on. Has anyone else had this problem? If so please help!

Hi IH574 and welcome to TSF,
Blowing a fusible link, you have a dirrect short somewhere. If you have some electrical prints, you can post them here and we can help you locate the problem. What works after the link blows? That would narrow the search somewhat. Did anything happen that might have caused the problem, replaced any parts, added new equipment, finder bender, etc. If you need guidance on posting prints, we can help. Very best regards, Mack1
