1997 chevy truck dies when driving

My chevy 2500 dies and cuts out when driving. Codes are p1345 and p1406
I thinks it some thing about the EGR valve. I know a little about trucks, but i don't know were this part is. Can someone tell me were its at, and should i replace it or get a shop to do it?

P1345 - ckp / cmp correlation, Could be a bad crank position sensor or the timing was changed by trying to move the distributor. Could also be a worn distributor gear I've seen that a couple of times on the 7.4L engine. The best way to check it is with a good OBD2 scan tool and have the cam retard checked.
Has the distributor been out or maybe the intake manifold gaskets changed?

But with the shut off issues I would lean more to a bad sensor without being able to scan the system.
