Question 90 Bronco Temp and Fuel Gauge Problems

Good morning,
In a previouse message I asked for advice regarding my gas gauge probems in a 1990 Ford Bronco. The usual suspect is the sending unit located in the tank and was getting ready to drop the tank this weekend. However while driving the other day I notices that the temp gauge was also not working. It had been previously and now I am wondering if maybe I have an electrical problem. My question is do these 2 gauges share anything in common besides ground that my indicate a problem effecting both?

thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Re: 90 Bronco Temp and Fuel Gauge Problems

Hi EzPc,

If you have any electrical diagrams that cover the instrument cluster and the two guages, post them and we can help you track down any commonalities.

I can provide guidance on posting pictures if you need.

Very best regards,
Mack1

Question Re: 90 Bronco Temp and Fuel Gauge Problems

Thanks Mack1 for your support.. unfortunatly I have yet to obtain a wiring diagram for my bronco

In the mean time I have another new issue.. seems that the dash lights have gone out as well as the running parking lights. When I pull the head light switch out one click the parking lights are supposed to iluminate. I have yet to do a complete fuse check on the system, hopeing to do that tomorow after work. If they all pass then I will be stumped for sure..

Anyone know of a source for a good wireing diagram for my truck???
Thanks
EzPc

Re: 90 Bronco Temp and Fuel Gauge Problems

Hi EzPc,

I think it was octaneman that posted how to get free prints the other day. Hope I am giving the right one credit. I have used autozone for years and they have alldata which is a paid subscription for all prints on a vehicle. But....on the autozone site, you can signup up in the doityourself section and get the prints free. Now that is a good price. Give it a try and see what you can get.

Hope it works for you,
Mack1
