2004 Super Beetle - check engine light
my check engine light came on at 40000 miles is this something to worry about or just time to do a special service on car? how do you reset the check engine light?

Hi James,
I am assuming you have a VW car. Most German cars do this they have set intervals at which to set these lights off at. It it probably a good time to do some preventative maintenance on the car. When was the last time you changed the oil and filter fuel filter coolant, plugs etc. ? Any respectable import mechanic shop should be able to reset this light for you. Let me know what happens. |
