Re: 1976 Chevy C10 3rd spark plug wire

Get some wire separters from local auto parts store. Then get a zip
tie, or something to that affect and pull the separater up and away
from the header. Or maybe get plug wires more suitable for your
use. Use your imagination. Beating the header is not a very wise
solution.

Yes!, you wouldn't want to buy a new/used header after it cracked, would you?

Go back to your parts jobber, explain your situation about the too short wires, and that you also need spark plug wire looms. they mount between the valve cover, and the bolt that holds it down.
Mr. gasket makes a nice chrome set that'll hold two, three, or four wires depending on your application, goes for $3 to 6 bucks.

Using the looms though necessitates a longer wire set.

And as manic said

Re: 1976 Chevy C10 3rd spark plug wire

I wasn't going to beat the headers that is just what a few (drunk) friends suggested because I was going to buy some Better looking headers in the near future but as I posted Before I bought a new plug boot what wasn't 45degree like i said it was it was a 115 degree boot but that got the plug away from the headers it wasn't the length that was the problem it was the boot. And when It was attached to the spark plug it sat right on the headers but the problem is fixed now sorry for the way i worded it in the original post
