Etest failure - 1997 mercury villager

I am having problems with passing at curb idle for my etest. I put a new air filter in and the guarentee to pass in the gas tank and took it back for the 2nd etest and still failed. My first reading for the HCppm was 378 for the 2nd etest it went up to 385. for the CO% the fist one was 4.5 and the second was 3.04 so I got that down a little but it still failed any sugestions I can do to get it to pass without spending big bucks let me know.

Re: Etest

Hi bodidlydi,

What kind of car or vehicle are you needing help with?? Mileage??
It's nice to have the results of your etest, but without the vehicle info we have no clue as to what it might take to get it to pass.
