Headlights blinking off and on
We have a 1995 Dodge 3/4 ton diesel 2WD, we just replaced the headlight switch and now when I am going down the road my headlights go off and on. It varies how long they stay off before they come back on. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Re: Headlights blinking off and on
Hi NTHEDARK and welcome to TSF
![]() The last time I saw that happen, it was on a Ford car several years back. It turned out to be a bad thermal switch in the headlamp circuit. Overcurrnet would cause it to open the circuit and it would reset itself after it cooled off. Headlamps are so vital that normal fuzes that blow and leave the circuit open are not used. Not sure that Dodge has one, but it probably does. If you just replaced the headlight switch, it might be because of overcurrent. Hope this helps, Mack1
