02 Dodge Ram 2500 steering noise
I have an 02 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with the Hemi engine. When I am driving at slow speeds I can hear a loud squeek. I have reciently replace my belt, belt tensioner and flushed the power steering fluid. Any suggestions?

Re: 02 Dodge Ram 2500 steering noise
Why did you replace the belt, and tensioner? Was something leaking
on it? Or was it just worn? Is something still leaking on it? Are you sure you have the right size belt? Any pulleys out of alignment? Have you replaced the alternator or anything with a pulley lately? Are you sure its the belt making the noise? New belt, how does it look? ,is it showing any sign of wear, anything strange, it is a new belt and still should look new.

Re: 02 Dodge Ram 2500 steering noise
I replaced the belt, tensioner and power steering fluid at about 100,000km just because. The belt looked fine and I keep it an the tensioner in the back of the truck as a spare. The fluid was dirty but not too bad. There is no fluids leaking, the old and new belt look good. The only thing that has been replace is the steering colum (some one tried to steal my truck).

Re: 02 Dodge Ram 2500 steering noise
Sometimes at very low speeds, you will hear a squeak sound, you
know squeak squeak squeak, then it goes away as you drive faster. Not a constant squeak, or whine. That noise alot of times is a worn out u-joint.
