a 89 toyota p/u a intermedate miss while driving

while driving along the highway or street it will jerk and keep going , but if your at a red light or any stop while idling it will kill the engine , but will start right back up no spit or sputtering just like you cut it off and restarted it. had the motor rebuilt and been doing it ever since , I have changed the rotor and dist. cap and wires. Brought it to the toyota dealer , he said water in the gas , yes there was some but still doing it. ready to just run it like that !! thanks for any help

Re: a 89 toyota p/u a intermedate miss while driving

i worked on a 90 modle that had alot of rust in the fuel tank. had to take the injectors out clean out the screens and put them back in worked like new. only thing is without fixing the main problem of rust in the tank it will only work for a while before it need done again.
