Cry I need a Jeep EXPERT, PLEASE

ok. So I have an 89' Jeep Wrangler, just recently I had an intermittin starting problem. It wouldn't matter if it had been running for an hour or a cold start sometime it just wont start. Now this is where it gets stange to me, if my tac needle was twitchin when i tried to start it, it would start, but if i had no movement form it that means ill be sitting there anywhere from 5 min. to 24 hours, its really strange. So about 5 days ago it finally died on me and I cant start it at all now. By the way it turns over every time but just does not fire. PLEASE HELP ME, im 21 an i support myself an i dont have the money to take to a shop. PLEASE HELP/gmillfish@yahoo.com

Re: I need a Jeep EXPERT, PLEASE

Here's a thought... this could actually be dirty battery terminals. It's been a long time but I have seen similar a few times. Give 'em a clean and fasten them well. It can't hurt and you may just get lucky.

Re: I need a Jeep EXPERT, PLEASE

What engine is in this jeep. Your tachometer is controled by a signal from your distributor. It could be a bad ignition control module. I would suspect a ignition problem. if there's no crank signal from the distributor then the coil will not fire and the tach will not work.
