2000 Silverado start-idle problem
I changed plugs and wires two days ago, and everything worked fine. On Tuesday morning, I tried to start the truck, and I heard a click (something like a breaker kicking) and everything went dead. I waited about 45 seconds, and the power came back on and the truck started but would not idle. After the truck warmed up, (it was about 45 degrees out) it ran fine and started every time. The next mouning, it was the same thing all over. Any body else have this problem?

Re: 2000 Silverado start-idle problem
Warthog1;
Sounds like a loose or dirty connection either at your battery terminals, where the negative cable grounds to the truck or where the positve cable is attached to your starter solenoid. I doubt it's related to replacing the plug wires unless you inadvertently knocked a battery cable loose. hope this helps! |
