ECM Fried?

I plugged in an old trailer I had into my trailer wiring and pressed the brakes on my truck. The brakes on th trailer were ceased and now my trailer wiring doesn't work and my cruise control doesn't work. I also noticed that when I turn the dial to switch the vents from defrost to any other position nothing happens they are stuck on defrost. My truck is a 1999 Dodge Diesel 3/4 Ton 2500. Could the trailer brakes have fried my trucks computer?

Re: ECM Fried?

Doubt it.More the likely you popped a fuse probably a maxi protecting several circuits.Sounds like a job for a simple test light.

Re: ECM Fried?

Checked every fuse I could find. There were none that were blown. Only ones I couldn't test were the square black ones under the hood. Is there a way to test these?

Re: ECM Fried?

The square maxi fuses have a visable strip ypu can see when it's melted. The solid squares are relays.
