1996 Z-71 problem with reving up too high
I have a 1996 Z-71 5.7liter Chevy truck that the RPMs will hit at 2000 each time it is cranked. It will idle back down to 1000 or a little under that after 7 or 8 seconds but I know this is not normal and cannot be good on the vehicle. Any suggestions about what the cause might be would be appreciated.
