Re: Toyota troubles

Good Evening wetsocks, I have always found the Toyota carbs to be reliable and the system worked well, I suspect your roadworthiness with this new config would be revoked.

Those engines and the anti-pollution gear were pretty well designed, I suspect you will have ongoing problems with fuel consumption and engine timing / tuning problems.

The carb should not flood, the fuel level on that should be visible in the side window from memory and if the level is set correctly should not allow flooding.

You will need an anti pollution plumbing chart to sort all those hoses out, it should be covered in the manual.

I suggest you obtain the vehicle manual for that specific vehicle from your auto supermarket and try to work out how to reconnect everything to stop vacuum leakage and allow the vacuum system to function normally.

It may be simpler to restore the system to standard.

Cheers, qldit.
