92 pathfinder speed odometer
I am just wondering what may be the culprit of the speed odometer, count trip, odometer, and anything else to do with speed and miles not working not working in a 92 pathfinder. The tachometer works perfectly fine though. The cable was taken off the trans and tested to see if that would work, which didn’t. So I believe this leaves just the cable and the unit behind the dash (currently forgetting the name of it.) If there is anything else that may be the problem please recommend it or if it is more likely one thing over the other I would like to know. Not sure how much any of the parts cost either so that would be helpful also.
Also just going to add I can not test anything till this Saturday. |

Re: 92 pathfinder speed odometer
speed and miles work off the cable running to the trans. it is either broken inside the caseing or pulled out of its socket. the transmission actualy drives the cable so pulling it out of the trans wouldnt tell you anything except maybe the cable is frozen.
new cable should fix your problem. |

Re: 92 pathfinder speed odometer
Looks like Courtesy Nissan has a cable for about $60 plus shipping...but you can also check your local dealer as well.

Re: 92 pathfinder speed odometer
Thank you, was also going to try autozone and nappa to see their prices too. I do not think the nissan dealer will be cheap though to order from, nothing they have is even competive, like raditor was $400 while no where else was over $200.
