Thumbs Up PEUGEOT 106 XN 1.0 GRADUATE hatch back K REG 1992

HIYA
was just wondering if anybody out there knows whats wrong with our peugeot ........

it is starting perfectly but it just will not tick over someone has said its the inline petrol filter blocked.
its been to the local garage numerous times and they say they are lost with it ...
everytime u get to a junction the thing cuts out
its not the tick over or the mixture its been tried

please can anybody help me ??????????????

even a manual i can download

Good Evening nikjak, when you say "tick over" I am assuming you are referring to smooth idling.

You might try some injector cleaner in the tank and fill it with premium fuel, chances are your injectors are not spraying perfectly.

It is the higher octane unleaded stuff, we have two types here, standard unleaded and premium, the premium makes Peugeots go much better.

You are welcome, I hope you can get premium at your location, those engines are pretty high performance and the higher octane fuel usually makes a considerable difference.

sounds similar to my Opel that cut out at random. In the end I think the fuel pump relay was faulty. Replace the fuel filter while your at it it. Injector cleaner may help too.
