Car Won't Start "somtimes"
I Have A Mazda 2000 626. Sometimes When I Drive It And Shut It Off When It S Time To Leave It Will Not Start Up. Usually I Have To Wait About 30 Minutes And Then Its Fine.

sometimes with the mazda's they have ignition module problems. they will run until it heats up the when u shut the car off it wont restart until it cools. try replacing the ignition module on it and it should fix it

Other things to look for when it will not start up.
Open the gas cap to see if the tank is under pressure. Does it happen more during hot weather, to rule out the ignition problem ? I assume it is fuel injected, there is a valve on the fuel rail that looks like the one on your tires push in the valve watch your eyes for spraying fuel to see if you have fuel pressure. Get a spark tester pull off one of the spark plug wires and crank the engine to confirm you have spark. Go back to basics when an engine will not start...Fuel and Spark. At least you will have a place to start. |
