Re: 91 chevy corsica
Good Afternoon xavier, I am assuming you are referring to a coil pack, but generally if a one particular coil pack has repeated failure it can be caused by a faulty spark plug lead which can cause internal reflected effect and internal arcing.
I am also assuming the coil pack is decent quality. I often use parts from auto wrecking yards, especially from crashed machines, they tend to often be better than original new items and are generally considerably less expensive. Ensure any replacement is properly mounted and not distorted or over tightened when fitting. It is a good idea to replace all spark plug leads with good quality items in the five year bracket, it helps to avoid these kinds of problems. Ensure plug gaps are not excessively opened. Others will have different ideas. Cheers, qldit. Last edited by qldit; 08-10-2007 at 10:42 PM. |
