trouble with my tacoma

it runs rough diagnostic cums up intermittant spark cyl 1 i replaced the coil for 1,4 this didnt help i was told to try the crank sensor nobody has one for today so i tryed to wipe it off i was then told it shouldnt have oil on it is this true and if so then what should i do

the crank sensor should not have oil on the outside of it, no.

this is a 6 cylinder you have?

check all the spark plugs, or better yet, if they are old, replace them, they are only 2-3$ each anyhow.

that's where i always start when i have one rough cylinder.
