1990 nissin 240sx problems

So i just bought this car about a week ago and it has been running fine.. but today i was driving to my buddys house and on the road all of a sudden i couldn't shift into any gear. so i pull off the side of the road and restart my car. i get it going in first but then when i try to make it go into second is just goes in but the car just revs i pulled into a parking lot with the power i had left and i check all the gears but none of them worked. i think it might be a problem with the transmission on the shaft but i'm not that much of an expert so i wouldn't know anyone have any ideas? if you need some info just tell me.

That sounds like either bad tranny or the clutch went out....but bad clutch wouldn't explain why it wouldn't go into any gear....check the fluid level in the clutch slave cylinder too.

Sounds like bad transmission to me. I doubt something down the shaft line is broken..
