My jeep wont start.

Hello I have a 1991 Jeep choerokee lorado with the inline 6. I went out and started it to warm up yesterday and came out 10-15 min later and it was shut off... and now i can not get it to start... It does have spark and I think its getting fule but i shot some starting fluid in it to check and still no fire, pop, or anything. got a new crank sensor and still nada, pulled it up on to top dead center of #1 and made sure the rotor was on #1 to check to see if cam chain jumped and its matching up still has about 100 lbs of compresson.
NOW WHAT? IM LOST?

If it cranks normally, and the starting fluid did nothing, it's time to check the ignition.

Pull a plug wire, pull a spark plug, put the spark plug back on the plug wire, hold away fromt the end of the sparkplug and hold it towards something metal, and make sure you got spark.

Does it make any noise when it tries to start? Do you have lights? Make sure its not something as simple as a corroded battery terminal.

Check fuel is getting into the engine. Make sure the fuel hoses are not blocked.

If there is no kick with starting fluid, the problem is most likely ignition.

First I would check all the fuses just to make sure there is not a blown fuse.

Coils can and do go bad. Additionally there are a lot of ignition sensors that can go bad. Hard to give you an idea as to where to start looking.

Might check these links for some ideas:

Ballast resistor and ballast resistor bypass relay are a few other places to focus on as well. Easy to test and rule out if they are good.

Mine does the same thing.......except I was driving mine......4 times when it all of a sudden decided to shut off on me. Then it doesn't start for awhiiiiiile afterwards. My dad's a mechanic though so he's trying to figure it out. It sucks riding the bus to school and back.

Fuel, fire, air(compression). You've done a great job of diagnosing so far. check the fire again, what color is the spark? it should lean towards blue. If it has a hall effect sensor, thats what I'd suspect.
