02 Chevy having problems... PLz Help
I have a 02 chevy ext cab Z71 with a 4.8 liter v8, it has almost 100k miles on it. The other day i went to pass some1 and when I pressed the gas i didnt have any power, and my service engine light started blinking, i pulled off checked everything and it all seemed good but yet it still lacked power, so I took it to my uncle which is a mechanic and he hooked it up to his computer and it said it was missing, so we figured plugs and wires, I replaced them and it still does the same thing, there also is kind of a knocking noise, which my uncle told me its from predetination due to missfire. His computer said it was missing on #2,#4 and #6 cylinders. Can someone help me with my problem

Unless I miss my guess (no access to all my catalogs at home...sigh) this truck uses a coil on plug setup. Try swapping the #2 coil over to the opposite side of the engine and see if that misfire follows it. If it does...you'll need to replace that coil...do the same with the others and see if things go likewise.

Hope it turns out to just be one coil. More than one is just expensive....
