Parts from the manufacturer are always expensive. I am employeed by an automotive group and I never buy my parts there; I just comparison shop online between the three different parts stores close to my house.
Your only other alternative to purchasing a new one is to find a place that could have rebuilt your old one. That is of couse assuming that you could wait the day or two till it was finished; but would probably cost you $40-60. |

the odd thing is, the check engine light stayed off [ battery got disconnected ] i had a p4066 type code showing emmissions- vapor..something or another. i replaced two solinoid valves, 1 on motor, 1 next to the charcoal can underneith. light still comes on. but the alternator change keeps the light off? maybe the alternator was giving eratic voltages to the car computer for some time before it broke down?
