Hmm.. don't wanna be annoying or anything, but this is outdated..

Re: How to Install and use Ad-Aware™ SE Personal

After I finish the other article, I MIGHT do a little guide on some security program. Don't expect it to be too good, though.
I need some practice.

Re: How to Install and use Ad-Aware™ SE Personal

I have 2007 on my computer right now, but I'm so lazy I would take screenshots from someone who already uninstalled it..
Yeah, go ahead, send them over, thanks a lot!

Re: How to Install and use Ad-Aware™ SE Personal

..wait till I finish my "Guide to Free Security"..
And I'm going to write a short guide (with 5 cleaning tools) on disinfecting the Kavo virus (which the five steps will NOT get rid of), referring to this thread.

Wox, you say the five steps will not get rid of the Kavo virus, but I can't see where you've posted a DSS.

Re: How to Install and use Ad-Aware™ SE Personal

AFAIK the "5 steps" are made to get users started with a few simple process, to remove some spyware applications, clean up some junk with Panda, and produce a log from DSS, which an analyst will then research and create a fix. Malware fixes are not posted in the 5 steps for this reason. There is a thread in the HJT help sction for self removal steps.

Yeah, I see it clearly now. Well I would still do the five steps all over again to make sure that computer's squeaky-clean when I have time.
