Hi,
This is a very well written and informative article. One area (at least to me) that seems almost anti-climatic is the following lead in: Quote:
Here is a list of the key(s) or key combinations that you have to press when your PC boots up, in order to enter the BIOS setup, depending on the computer manufacturer and/or the BIOS version you have. Sometimes there are two or more keys or key combinations that will work, while in other cases models from the same manufacturer have different keys assigned for this function. Note: The HERE would represent an Active link to the list of keys. What this says to me is that HERE it is, but it really isn't until later. Therefore, one might want to consider another introductory statement. One example might be: Computer manufacturers have specific key(s) or key combinations that you have to press when your PC boots up, etc, etc That is my opinion, but I want to reinforce that the article is very much needed and very well written and documented.

As always you are so right, Tumbleweed (haven't you got tired of always being right? - ok, just kidding). This intro sounds as if this article is intended only to people who do know there is a key combination they need to press in order to enter the BIOS setup; but this is not always the case. So, I'll leave the article as is for the time being, but I am starting right now authoring a new, more meaningful and wider-in-scope introduction for this article. Hopefully it will be up in a few hours (as it is 4:20am now and I'd prefer to do that after I get a couple of hours of sleep...

Hi,
I frankly don't think you need to change much of anything except the "HERE IT IS" line. The rest is applicable to either the experienced or non-experienced and you explain the rest nicely for both. One changed sentence should take care of that IMHO. Just thought I would pass that opinion on.

OK then, I'll do it this way; you know my writing appetite started getting wild to include why one might ever want to enter the BIOS Setup in the first place etc etc... but things are like you said... we'll take care of it now as you've suggested. Many thanks!

In reguards to the Generic BIOS list.
I think we should add F2 to that list as well. I have seen that often on computers and laptops.
EDIT: Also, on the list of possibilities of why you don't get into the BIOS the first time, also add that if you are using a USB keyboard, it might not work because older BIOS's don't support USB, it is OS controlled.
