The AUX temperature

One thing I thought should be added to the article is what each sensor refers to. I have been told by linderman that the aux refers to the PSU temperature. So, after the picture with the sensors, there could be something like this:
  • CPU - Displays the processor temperature in degrees Celsius.
  • SYS - Displays the chipset temperature in degrees Celsius.
  • AUX - Displays the power supply temperature in degrees Celsius.
  • HDD - Displays the temperatures of each of your hard drives in degrees Celsius.

Looking closer at the first screenshot, you will notice that BOTH Celsius AND Farhenheit degrees are shown.
Hence, in my opinion, (and with due respect) this edit is superfluous.
Although, in some instances, the 'AUX' does refer to the PSU; however, STV Software™(the producers of the software) requested that this NOT be mentioned, as the accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
The reason depends entirely on the particular motherboard being used.
Furthermore, the readings are itemised earlier in the article.

Further to Chauffeur2's comments above, whilst the main temps remain fairly constant, the PSU temp fluctuates between freezing and the melting point of lead. Also, the AUX (ie PSU) fan speed is shown as zero. As I can actually see it running, either the sensor is faulty or the program is.

Whatever its shortcomings, it did stop me frying my CPU, for which I am very grateful

The AUX reading does traditionally refer to the PSU, although at many times its not accurate as the PSU won't have a sensor wire to capture and transfer readings to the motherboard. Many times it reads something other; I've found that to be the chipset temperature instead on all my systems.

The mix-up can occur with anything as mentioned. My HDD has read CPU before in Sensors View and vice versa.

I was just reading the article before guiding someone to it and found a very obvious little mistake I thought I'd point out:

You can the have confidence that the readings are relatively accurate[1.].
