Re: How to troubleshoot motherboard issues

All the links to the other TSF articles are currently broken. I didn't find a way to edit the article myself so I figured I would tell you.

The broken links in the article are :
How to get prepared for the inevitable in Windows XP – Part I
How to get prepared for the inevitable in Windows XP – Part II (appears twice)
Power Supply Information and Selection advisory (link to the binned version)
Troubleshooting the PSU with a Multimeter

They should be replaced by
http://www.techsupportforum.com/cont...ticles/25.html
http://www.techsupportforum.com/cont...ticles/26.html
Power Supply Information and Selection
http://www.techsupportforum.com/hard...-stickies.html

I haven't looked through all the articles but I'm pretty sure others will have the same problem. Isn't there some cheap way, like using a mass file editor on the related files, to replace all the old links by the new ones automatically in all articles ?

Re: How to troubleshoot motherboard issues

Thank You justpassingby, we will edit this promptly. As for not being able to edit the article, your privs will not allow you to do so. Only a minute amount of mods on our forum even have the ability to access the panel to edit them. I will talk to John (JtP) about looking into that search tool. Thank you justpassingby.

Re: How to troubleshoot motherboard issues

Thx oddball2910, I was coming directly from the article when I posted in this thread, didn't notice that the link in the first post was broken. It's fixed now (at least i can do that ).

Re: How to troubleshoot motherboard issues

It's been 4 months and the links to other articles are still broken. See post #22.

Should I have posted this here ?

Re: How to troubleshoot motherboard issues

Sorry Giles. Were you talking about links within an article? if so, which article?

Re: How to troubleshoot motherboard issues

Thanks for the reply John.

Yes, I mean the links within this article : http://www.techsupportforum.com/cont...ticles/51.html (the one this comment thread is about). All the links to other TSF article (how to get prepared to the inevitable, ...) are still in the old article section format and do not work anymore.

The broken links that need to be replaced are listed in post #22 here : How to troubleshoot motherboard issues.

If you come across any more broken links would you please let us know as it is very difficult to check every article.
Many thanks.
