How good is Web Easy Pro??

Well, ill add more to this tutorial/review as I play around with the effects it has.

Ill pretend im a website n00b when writing it so you can see how good/bad it is for new web designers. Then, it'll get a pro opinion.

Well, after first glances the product seems relatively easy to navigate. I first get prompted with a screen which allows me to choose a website using the assistant, basically a website template, or create my own.

I went for choosing a site with the assistant. I browsed through the examples and while the quantity and quality of the templates were limited, I managed to find a one for the purpose of this article.

Further on in the article it allowed me to add pictures to the site in the initial wizard. In my eyes, this was pointless as the selector screen was very small on my screen and couldnt see the pictures. Yes, that is the actual resolution.

I previewed the template within web easy and first impressions seemed that it was a clean, modern and stylish template.

After having a quick look around in the preview pane of what the template offered I began to modify the template round a bit.

Firstly I chose to add some longer text to the original text. I added extra text to the page and previewed it in my browser.

Oh No! That hasnt gone to plan. As you can see on the screenshot above, the text has overlapped the template boundaries which looks on all fairness, pathetic.

I had a look round in the program to see if there was anything that would allow me to modify the background so that it would auto expand when large amounts of text were added. I found nothing.

Re: How good is Web Easy Pro??

One of my bug-bares...When writing an English document I hate to see 'forced' American spelling. Will Web easy allow you to change the default spellings such as 'Catalog' to 'Catalogue' or are UK users stuck with the American spelling. As per the menu in your example....

I think it is a brilliant idea doing an article on that software. There are so many questions that arise about it, it will be nice to have something to chew on. Great work Chris.

Thanks Donald, Just had a look in Web Easy there through the options and there are no references to changing the dictionary used from US English to UK English.

Nice job Chris. Something like this is very difficult to do as you have so many options. Re the american spellings can you change the actual wording on the buttons in a template as you can with other similar programs?
