How to Upgrade the Hard Drive in a Dell Laptop

Through my personal experience, I have learned that this is not only a very aggravating process, but if not done properly it can lead to many problems.

I have written a help guide to combat this rising problem.

This guide is intended for Dell Laptops containing an HPA-based Media Direct feature (which becoming ever-more popular).

I also have a .html version of this guide for easy web page creation.

Re: How to Upgrade the Hard Drive in a Dell Laptop

Hi Caleb,

Can you please give us the links for the pics that are in the word .doc..(photobucket et al) so that we can upload them to the TSF Server so they are visible when I transform the word .doc into a post here.

Thanks.

Kind Regards,

Links are included in the references section next to the document notes. You can use the pre-installed hyperlinks on the table of contents.

Here's the whole package. Came in just barely under the file size limit (no compression).

Hi Caleb,
Can you please post your article in the thread rather than as an attachment?
Many thanks.

Ack, how do you display pictures? Does it require an HTML code or a media tag?

Hi Caleb
Just upload the zip file and we will try to convert it into a suitable Text file for publication. Is it possible for you to create the images rather than links to other websites. We have to comply with copyright issues. Images will have the TSF copyright stamp.

Re: How to Upgrade the Hard Drive in a Dell Laptop

I am getting everything ready as we speak. I have already obtained the necessary permissions from all my sources and have been granted use of all pictures, quotes, and intellectual property. Some of these pictures I have made myself and I allow the use of them. Please check the author's notes at the bottom of the article.

Ok, here is the .zip with everything.

And if you need a link to the pictures, here is the link to where I have them uploaded with IMG tags.
