Replacing Linspire with Win 2000

Hi Folks,
I would like to install windows 2000 on a couple of computers I recently purchased which have Linspire 4.5 installed on them. To explain my situation:
I have a small unairconditioned shop. I have 3 computers networked to enter and close work orders.... The current system uses 2.2 k processors with 256 ram, dsl and 40 GB hard drive. auxillary external fans blow 24/7 and the units are cleaned inside quarterly. The heat in Atlanta in the summer fries at least one each year. I cannot protect the processors, so I am trying to replace with more economical units.
I purchased two chinese made computers for $150.00 each with AMD Sempron 2200 cpu, 128mb ddr266 sdram, I had some extra 266ddr ram and installed an additional 256mb in each, Except the 250watt power source, the specifications are similar to the existing units. All units run with corp. win2000 pro. My business management program needs windows based program, as does the parts lookup we subscribe to. I can get soime ot the parts thru the internet, but the warranty centers accept only windows explorer. The manual with the computers says the quickest and easiest way to install another os is to install over Linspire. I tried starting with the windows 200 disk, it was ignored. I tried Max Blast, it wouldn't work with the partitions it saw. The Linspire is new to me and I can't even figure out how to format the main hard drive to start fresh. It should be obvious by now that I don't really know much about what I need to do, and am too frugal to hire it out so I come to you for advise. Will appreciate any inspiration you can offer.
Thanks
Gus,

replace Linspire with Win2000?

Gus, let me know if you figure out how to replace Linspire with Win2000. I need to do it too. I've been trying to reformat my HDD, but the Win2000 CD is not being recognized after I reboot.

do either of you have floppy drives in your computers. If so you can go to bootdisk.com and create a bootable win 98 disk. Then use fdisk to delete the partition. Then go into computer bios and tell it to boot off the cd rom first and then you should be able to load win 2k
