Here's the basic layout: SCO 5.07 Unix server, multipe Windows XP and Vista client pc's, connecting via TinyTerm telnet sessions to a software app on the server. FiOS service courtesy of Verizon Business.
And now the issue: Right about the middle of the week last week, the end-users started experiencing serious slowdowns in the network. It's an intermittent issue, random as far as which pc's it affects. When the end-users start the telnet session, it takes several seconds longer than normal to get the login prompt. once they log in it takes up to several minutes to get the software login screen that should only take a second or two. Then the rest of the session is slow, taking several seconds for a typed character to show up on the screen. On the internet side, everything runs as it should, smoothly. Any ideas as to the problem?
