Space not recovered after directory deletion on VMS
Hi All,
For my work, i am using VMS Operating system. I was creating free space on a DISK. and i found one directory containing files and it was about 1million block size. I used set file/nodir command and made the directory a virtual file and performed a normal file deletion. The directory got deleted, but the space was not recovered. Can any one tell me how to recover this space and what is the proper usage of "Set file/nodir" command.? Many thanks in advance, Kirankumar.

Re: Space not recovered after directory deletion on VMS
It looks like we might not have any VMS users with an answer to your question.
You could try a more specialist forum. openvms.org , hp.com , dmoz.org
