Running Solaris on xVM
Just updated Sun's xvm to the latest version (2.2.4) and installed the latest Solaris (OpenSolaris 2009.06); the installation went ok, but when I tried to run it I got the error message: "cpu0: failed to update microcode from version 0x0 to 0xcb", and it tried to start the gui a few times, but ended up in text mode. Logging in at that point and doing xstart produced the same results. I repeated the whole installation process from scratch just in case, but the problem persisted. I found an old description of this bug in a Solaris forum, with the notation that it was not going to be fixed because it's an xvm problem, so there has obviously been a regression. Any clues as to how to get around the problem?
