Windows 7 Audio & other issues
Hello,
I've installed W7 and for the most part things are well, but no audio, I have a Creative labs Fatal1ty card, W7 does not recognize it. I have tried re-enabling the onboard sound, but it does not see that either, in device manager it sees something, but W7 is not sure what it is. I found out today that Creative has Beta audio drivers, rushed right over and downloaded them, it seems to install if I invoke Admin on it, but since the computer does not see the card that's probably why the drivers really didn't install.Another annoyance, it says the file system is corrupt, and always wants to do a reboot for chkdsk, I do that, then reboot to Vista, run it's scanner and it says all is well. It's allot, but I thought the collective minds here might have something. Last edited by Dakkota; 01-28-2009 at 04:53 PM. Reason: mis spell |

Re: Windows 7 Audio & other issues
Hello and welcome to TSF...
About sound card issue: It is working well when you run Vista right??? There is incompatibility with Seven I guess... Visit this Forum, it is about Windows Seven: http://www.sevenforums.com/ Under driver section you will find how to install Vista drivers for Seven with DriverMAx software, it worked for me... About corrupted files: Check what make/model is your HDD, visit manufacturers Web Site, download diagnostic tools and test your HDD for possible bad sectors... You might have bad HDD... Keep us posted... |
