My System

Windows 7

I currently have 3 HDs all satas.

I have my OS on HD1 which my computer boots from, if i wanted to try windows 7 could I install it on a partition on HD2 and would that work?

Yes, you may have to load Sata drivers for the Hard Drives to be recognized.
Just be careful and make sure that you install on the correct partition

What type of SATA drivers, and is it possible i wouldn't need them?

You may not need them( I think Windows 7 loads generic drivers) but if you do you need the drivers for the sata controller on your motherboard

i installed it on one of my sata and it worked fine ,yet to much like vista ,still weary on it.
