Hello
Does anyone know anything about an old Hyphen Software Rip? I have a windows XP machine connected to a computer running DOS via pc Maclan. On the DOS machine there is a software rip to power my imagesetter and in the rip program there is appletalk. When i fire up this old crate in dos it says that the localtalk card is not responding. Originally it had a 3com etherlink II card in it and it worked fine. I have replaced the card with a 3com etherlink III card which it will not recognise. The application that does not recognise the card is ATALK.EXE which only allows an i/o address of 220 or 240. I can also specify either DMA 1 or DMA 3 and an interrupt of 3, 5, 7 or 9. I do not know if this ATALK.EXE is a common application or something that Hypen has put together. This RIP is VERY old, about 1994 so i cannot get much info on it. Any ideas why it will not recognise the card? Maybe the bus speed is too fast? |
