help me please with internet gateway server

hello people

listen up, i wanna know how much pc my server can connect to internet, if i will be usein that system- intel pentium 2.6hz,512 ram ddr. I have 2 bye and setup server in my office
anybody have some ideas?

you did not post enough information.
you did not say the operating system, what server youre trying to use... how you connect the computers for example.???

freeBSD or unix, conecting throught LAN

I dont know what to chose better? help me with that, I have to connect near 100 pcs to internet, so what i have to do? what server better to use?

So, your question is whether you should use FreeBSD or UNIX. Well, for starters and correct me if i am wrong, but FreeBSD is UNIX.

My first question is are you used to using UNIX and the command system, or are you more fimiliar with a Windows system?

The next question is what are you going to be using this server for? Is it going to be a web server, FTP, LDAP? There are different solutions for all of them.

Answer those questions and then we can help you out more.
