solaris installation
We have purchased one solaris 10 DVD to install solaris on sparc(already it has solaris 9 OS) system.In our sparc system having cd-rw.Aparting that we are having windows xp system which is having dvd-rw.Both sparc and windows xp are connected network in that we are sharing the files from windows to sparc machine is there any option to install solaris 10 from windows xp through network.

Re: solaris installation
Having Services for Unix 3.5 installed on my XP box enables PC to map a drive letter to a Solaris filesystem on my Sun box, and Solaris to mount a PC drive as a filesystem on my Sun box (NFS). Seems this would work to see Solaris 10 DVD in PC from your Solaris box. Services for Unix is a free download from Microsoft.
