VMware Question

I work In IT support

How would i go about shadowing a VMware user Remotely. I am unable to RDP as they are already using RDP to connected to there VMware box

Shadowing as in watching, or dumping filesystem changes to a networked storage device?

If you mean watching, you could use RealVNC or TightVNC, but be sure NOT to use the video driver if they are working with 3D applications or video software as it causes noticeable interference (last time I checked).

As for dumping their filesystem changes, you could configure their system to run everything through Sandboxie and designate a networked drive as the sandbox storage location.

These two options may have to be done within the virtual machine. I am not sure if VNC will work with VMWare. TightVNC has an option to just watch without input as to prevent accidental mouse movements during observation.
