Can someone help me with this stupid tadpole laptop, it won't start up.
It's a comet dc 19v 4.7a ran by sun i think. I just found it in my house, and i was hoping to use it as just another computer to access the internet on. When i press the power button it goes to a blue screen with a little square box in the middle the box does some stuff and then it just sits there and then it restarts and does the samething but this time it restarts faster... This is the stupidest computer i have ever seen. I had it hooked up to my comcast modem threw a eithernet cable. please help asap thank you. ![]()

Re: Help with a tadpole
You "found" it? I suggest you "find" the owner, I'm sure he'll know how to get it working.

Re: Help with a tadpole
I didn't accuse you of stealing it, just wanted to clarify the situation. Your presentation was hardly indicative of ownership, perhaps you should read it again.

Re: Help with a tadpole
Just how long has the laptop been idle ? It could be that the battery has discharged and refuses to play Ball anymore .. can cause start up problems

Re: Help with a tadpole
If it hasn't been charged for a couple of years there is every possibility that the battery may not be working properly, they don't like to be ignored once they have been put into use.
Is the laptop of the sort that can be used without having a battery in it or does it refuse to start at all ?

Re: Help with a tadpole
If you're still having the problem, I think you should post in the hardware support forum. It seems like a hardware problem to me.
Also, see if you can find out what kind of computer it is. The specifications you gave were from the power supply, and don't tell us anything about the brand of the actual computer. Almost every brand of laptop takes 19 volts, so it doesn't really help to mention the power supply specifications. |
