What is your opinions of the Maxthon browser. Can you give me some pros and cons. I know most people reconmend firefox. What do you think is the pest because others use mozilla and yet others Opera.

Maxthon is built over IE so it's still got the same problems. It just has some better features.

My System

Looking at the features list, it's very similar to Firefox with tabs, skins, plugins, popup blocker etc.

But, as superfly says, with IE in the background you might not be getting the extra security of FF.

I used to use NeoPlanet (based on IE) for it's looks, Opera for it's speed and NetCaptor for the tabs, but Firefox is the best one at the moment, imho.

I used NeoPlanet for maybe 5 minutes 5 years ago...

FireFox is the way to go in my opinion. Any browser based off of IE is going to have the same problems as IE. You don't build a new house on top of a crumbling foundation.
