Opera downloads

Hi everyone. Please accept my apologies if this query makes me sound like a total idiot. I would love to switch to the Opera browser because I like the idea of its small footprint. However, I'm just not able to figure out how to download pictures and videos with it. Can someone explain whether i need a download manager - in which case, which do you suggest? - or is there one built in? If so, where do I find it and how do I get it to work? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Re: Opera downloads

Re: Opera downloads

Opera has it's own built in downloads manager.

With Opera installed, go tools>preferences>advanced>downloads and all the options are in there.............you can set a default downloads destination folder or vary download by download as it suits you.

As you download, Opera will open a "transfers" page showing the progress etc of the download and the options to stop/cancel etc etc.

To download an image or video, right click on that image and from the drop down menu, choose "save image".........the image will be directed to your default download folder but you will have the option to vary that if you wish.

Yes, and you can find the Transfers page at any time under the Tools menu or by pressing Ctrl-J.
