Thumbs Down Chrome won't display webpages!

I have a windows XP laptop with the latest version of chrome installed on it. In fact I've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Chrome three times and I received the same results. The installation of Chrome runs well there are no problems. Immediately after the installation chrome appears to run flawlessly. It is able to display webpages etc.

Once I reboot my computer, startup Chrome ask for a webpage it appears that I will receive webpage. In the bottom left hand side of the browser it says “connecting”.

That is as far as the browser gets. What is the problem? Chrome worked just fine before I shutdown the computer now it does not. I don’t understand.

I am using Windows XP SP2 dual core 4GB of ram tons of disk space.
Firewall: ZoneAlarm
Spysweeper
Thanks!

Re: Chrome won't display webpages!

Hi,

Are you able to view webpages or connect to the internet from another browser like IE? If not you might have a problem with your connections. Lets start there and then we can move to other steps.

Cheers!

Re: Chrome won't display webpages!

Hi,

Have you tried clearing your catche and cookies and then trying to reach google.com.

I don't know that much about Chrome, but there might be an error console that you can look at that would tell you errors that it is having, or a place that it store errors. If it does just look in there and see what it is saying. You might even want to copy and paste some of them up here to have a look at.

Cheers!
