safari 3.1 prob

i am usin mac safari 3.1 browser
my internet connection is from optus i have an optus supplied modem " seimens speed streem 4200"
earlier when using lower version of safari i could get onto the firmware page for my modem but not with 3.1

i asked the optus techsupport and they asked me to uninstall it completlly and install a lower version

. i dont wanna do that

can there be some settings to open up the firmware

the firmware add for ss4200 is 10.1.1.1

Hi,

I know that we can help you here, but I just want to know a few things first. When you try to get to the modem from your browser, what do you get? Is there any message or is it just a blank screen.

Also, I think that your terms confused. Just so that we all can use the same terminology here, Firmware is what controls a device, similar to drivers, but on a larger scale.

Lets start with that and see where it get us. Let me know what happens when you try to get to your modem page.
