try deleting the opera temporary files. go to tools - delete private data.

Re: Opera problem with Hotmail Hp

This is a well known problem with the latest re-incarnation of Hotmail, following it's change from MSN Hotmail to Windows Live Hotmail and is caused by Microsoft having employed browser sniffing technology to ensure that Hotmail can only be accessed by Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari.
There is a long discussion about this on the Opera help forum which contains various suggested "work arounds", none of which really work.

Re: Opera problem with Hotmail Hp

I did not know there was a known problem with opera. I do know that I have absolutely no problems accessing my hotmail account with opera

Re: Opera problem with Hotmail Hp

sobeit, can you tell how you manage that.........have you made any adjustments in Opera.

I know that the new Live Hotmail is being "rolled out" and that some have problems and some do not depending, it appears, on which M$ server you get connected to.

All I know is that whatever "fixes" I have tried in Opera, I cannot open my hotmails....I can log in and can see the mails but cannot open any of them.

Re: Opera problem with Hotmail Hp

I just saw that I was one version out of date so I just upgrade and still no problems. As far as settings change, there were none - I am running at default. It could be the server I am connected to.

Re: Opera problem with Hotmail Hp

You can mask Opera as IE or Firefox to get around these annoying blocks.
