rpoblem accessing certain websites and internet freezing up
hello,
i recently reinstalled windows xp and at the same time threw in an extra 2gb of ram as my machine had started to run slow due to daughter downloading movies and games etc and only having a 40gb hard drive. the computer is running amazing boots up in about 15 seconds and accesses all programs really fast with no trouble. however when i connect to the internet using either ie6 ie7 or firefox i dont seem to be able to load up msn, hotmail or yahoo this is the case also on 2 other laptops both of which are brand new or only weeks old in any case, and also with the desktop that has been upgraded sometimes when i'm looking at a site the internet just freezes, i have tried adjusting the mtu settings both on the computer and in the router but to no avail. i have bt home broadband basic and a belkin adsl2 router the desktop is hardwired and the two laptops are wireless. any suggestions would be helpful |
