page prob

i have jus got a new laptop which is great,but not being a comp tecky guy i have managed to **** it up from the start the proplem is i have an end user liesence agreement page on constantly,i was downloading g earth at the time and may have lost internet connection during this time, some one please help aaaaaaaarrrrrrggggg thanks non tecky guy

Welcome to TSF!!

Hi,

I am guessing that you have gotten your internet back since this has been happening. To start what browser are you using? I would also try clearing your cache and cookies. Are you able to use Google Earth? If you aren't that might be part of the problem too.

hi tsf
i have never really lost internet its just that my modem overheats and i have to turn the power off and on again,im am using morzilla firefox and also have aol.ive cleared my cookies and cache (still there ).i uninstalled google earth first time but this did`nt clear it, i have downloaded it again and it seems to working fine there is another user on this comp but its not affecting them thanks for your time.

If the modem is overheating enough to cause it to shutdown, replace it with a new one.

I agree with koala, if your modem is overheating then that can cause a lot of problems least of which is your internet not working. I would be wary of a FIRE!!. Contact your ISP and see if they will send you a new one for free.
